3D modelling, quality control and reverse engineering

ACM has expanded its range of services to include precise, flexible and digital measurement and testing methods thanks to its new 3D scanning technology.
The HandySCAN 3D MAX Elite from Creaform enables a wide variety of components to be captured accurately and is ideal for quality control, analysis, reverse engineering and manufacturing.

High-precision measurement of components of any size

Our portable HandySCAN 3D MAX Elite laser measurement system allows us to scan both complex geometries and large-volume objects with a component length of up to 15 metres with an accuracy of 0.08 mm.

The modular system enables the efficient digitisation of a wide variety of parts, from small machine components to bulky structures. Shapes and dimensions can be reliably captured even without existing drawings. This 3D modelling provides the ideal basis for precise adjustments or new designs under demanding conditions.

Uncompromising quality assurance

The scanner can be used to quickly and reliably check components for dimensional accuracy. Digital capture not only enhances the final inspection, but also enables accurate technical documentation, which is particularly advantageous for individual parts or small series without CAD data.

Efficient reverse engineering

We use the scanner to reconstruct existing components when technical drawings are unavailable or existing plans are incomplete. The generated 3D data is transferred directly to CAD systems and is extremely valuable for repairs, replicas or modifications to existing components.
